What is Toronto Wellness Coach?

Toronto Wellness Coach uses a holistic approach to coaching individuals towards personal development and well-being that focuses on empowering individuals to achieve their health and wellness goals. Unlike traditional healthcare, which often treats symptoms after they arise, wellness coaching aims to prevent health issues by addressing the root causes and promoting sustainable lifestyle changes.

My goal is not to tell you what to do, but to empower you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make sustainable changes on your own. Through self-discovery and exploration, you'll develop a deeper understanding of yourself and what truly nourishes your body, mind, and soul.

We all want to be well and be in control of our health, to feel better and to have more energy. But there is a huge gap of wanting to be well and the everyday reality of living with the physical and mental health consequences of unhealthy lifestyles and the pressure of having too little downtime to recharge one’s batteries.

The healthcare system uses a prescriptive approach and was designed to manage acute medical emergencies and conditions and is not intended to help people manage a lifelong journey of developing health promoting behaviours. This ‘expert approach’ is not ideal when a person wants to lose weight, reduce stress or develop a confident mindset. Building confidence requires a new pattern of thinking, doing and relating. 

So how does coaching work?

You invest in your well- being and partner with a Wellness Coach. We meet 4 times a month, where you are given the responsibility to be the decision maker and become the expert of your own health. The goal of coaching is to encourage personal responsibility, reflective thinking, self discovery and self efficacy. I help you to discover your own answers and create your own possibilities. When you create your own vision and goals, you will find that these are the behaviours that stick.

After a few weeks, you will notice some early successes, including some improvements in how you feel and in your motivation to change.  You may encounter challenges, which we brainstorm solutions for, focusing on strengths and reigniting motivation. Intrinsic changes come from within, build confidence and move you from dependency to empowerment.

As your Coach, I offer personalized guidance, tailored to your lifestyle, preferences, and aspirations. By providing unconditional support, I help you to be accountable, and help you to stay motivated and committed to becoming the expert of your well-being journey.
